Potatoes, 4 large, peeled and cut into slices
Chicken, portioned
Rosemary leaves, 1t
Garlic, 4 cloves with husks
Sage, 2 fresh leaves or 1t dried
Salt
Pepper
Olive oil
Toss the potatoes in a bowl with rosemary, salt (2t), pepper (1/2 t), and olive oil (4T). Layer the bottom of the slow cooker with the potatoes.
Season chicken:
Sprinkle chicken cavity with salt (1/2T) and pepper (1/2t).
Place garlic and sage inside chicken cavity.
Coat chicken with salt (1/2t) and pepper (1/2t).
Arrange chicken pieces on top of the potato pieces in the slow cooker.
